Rosehill Players raise over £2000 for Hospice At Home West Cumbria with Calendar Girls performances

Rosehill Players have raised over £2000 for Hospice at Home West Cumbria with their performance of Calendar Girls.

The theatre group put on the performances at Rosehill Theatre in May.

A spokesperson for Hospice at Home West Cumbria said: “Thank you to the Rosehill Players for their generous donation of £2,200 following their sell-out performances of Calendar Girls at Rosehill in May.

“Congratulations on your fantastic fundraising.”

Inspired by the spirit of the play, the cast decided to produce their own calendar to raise money for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, as well as crocheting sunflower brooches for audience members to purchase for a donation.

The calendars can still be purchased in the Workington shop, or by contacting Rosehill Players directly via Facebook.
