The candidates for the Harraby South by-election have been announced with the electorate going to the polls.

With five candidates standing for the Cumberland Council seat the by-election will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

The following people have been or stand nominated for election as a councillor for the above ward.

ALCROFT, Ruth Elizabeth – The Labour Party
CURRIE, Rob – The Conservative Party
KELLY, Stuart – Liberal Democrats
KEMP, Rose-Ellen – Green Party
KIRKWOOD, Josh – Reform UK
