Stagecoach’s NHS Heroes competition looks for ‘inspiring stories’ of ‘outstanding individuals’

Residents across Cumbria are being encouraged to nominate ‘outstanding individuals’ with ‘inspiring stories’ who have made a difference to their lives as part of Stagecoach’s new NHS Heroes competition.

The nationwide initiative celebrates the NHS’s 78th anniversary by rewarding one outstanding NHS worker with a month’s free Stagecoach bus travel.

People are invited to nominate anyone working within the NHS whose compassion, dedication or professionalism deserves recognition.

Tom Waterhouse, Managing Director of Stagecoach Cumbria and Lancashire, said: “Across Cumbria, NHS teams provide exceptional care to communities every day, often serving large rural areas and supporting patients through life’s most challenging moments.

“We hope this competition encourages people to share inspiring stories and gives us the opportunity to recognise the outstanding individuals who make our NHS so special.”

The public can submit nominations by commenting on the dedicated NHS Heroes competition post on Stagecoach’s official social media channels before Friday, July 31.

Stagecoach also offers discounted travel to NHS employees across England throughout the year.
