West Cumbria Bowls Leagues: Fours League campaign starts with a team rejoining

The ten teams of the West Cumbria Fours League started their campaigns with Harris Park rejoining the league.

Harris Park are founder members of the Fours League and their return takes the league back to an even number of teams.

West Cumbria Fours League

The league kicked off on Friday, April 24, with defending champions Workington A taking a 7-0 win at Whitehaven B, while Whitehaven A traveled to returning Cockermouth side Harris Park where they were 7-0 victors.

Fitz Park (red and white) at home to Cleator Moor

Maryport won 6-1 at Vulcan Park and in Keswick, Fitz Park were 5-2 winners against Cleator Moor as Workington B completed a 5-2 win over Seaton.

On May 1, Workington A face Fitz Park while Whitehaven A welcome Vulcan Park.

Maryport play Harris Park, Workington B travel to Cleator Moor and Seaton host Whitehaven B.

West Cumbria Mixed Triples League

The Mixed Triples League starts on Tuesday, April 28, and have a new side entering as well.

Vulcan Park in their centenary year will be fielding an A and B team and the pair meet on the first game of the season.

Defending champions Maryport head to Wigton as Whitehaven, Workington and Harris Park all face their B team.

Cleator Moor travel to Cockermouth side Croft while Seascale travel to Egremont and Seaton start their season the week after.
