Cumbria Police launch appeal after woman’s alleged pub assault

Cumbria Police is investigating an alleged assault that happened outside The Ormsgill Inn.

On Wednesday, April 22, between 4pm and 7pm a 40-year-old woman from Barrow sustained injuries to her eye and head including swelling and bruising.

A 60-year-old man from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and released on bail.

The Police are looking for two members of the public who assisted the woman who was unconscious on the floor and then took her to the chemist on Ainslie Street, Barrow in Furness in their car.
