The Andrea Buggy Women’s Summer Cup and Summer Trophy competitions finals are almost complete with two games in two days deciding the Trophy finalist.
In the final round of the Summer Cup Workington Diamonds and Xtreme Fitness Ladies only needed a point from their games.
Playing at Penrith AFC Workington Diamonds were 0-2 winners to top the group as Xtreme Fitnes Ladies drew 2-2 at home to Newlaithes on Wednesday, August 2.
The top two of the Summer Trophy were due to meet with Whitehaven AFC Ladies Yellow hosting Stanwix Juniors but the Carlisle side gave Whitehaven the game.
Carlisle United Ladies won their trip to Allerdale Wildcats 1-2 to ensure no side finished this cup competition without points.
With Whitehaven AFC Ladies Yellow taking one place in the Summer Trophy Abbeytown Ladies head to Vickerstown Ladies on Tuesday, August 8, knowing a win will book their place in the final.
Then to finish off the league part of competition Abbeytown host Whitehaven AFC in what could be a preview of the final on Wednesday, August 9.
The matches on both days are a 7:15pm (19:15) kickoff.
