The 2022 World Champions have entered the fray with launch of the RB19 in New York City, USA.
Taking place on a live stream to over 30 countries around the world Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner and Drivers Max Verstappen, Sergio “Checo” Pérez and Daniel Ricciardo presented a host of unique moments today February 3.
The RB19 took centre stage but there were several other important announcements made with Ford’s return to Formula One, Mr Doodle charity RB14 and Make Your Mark campaign.
The RB19, the car to carry Verstappen to title number three or Perez to his first was revealed to the world in the iconic Red Bull colours.
The performance of the new car will not be truly know until the first race in Bahrain on March 5.
Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner said: “At Oracle Red Bull Racing we always strive to do things first and do things differently.
“This is the first time we have launched our season outside of the UK and the first time any F1 Team has launched in the USA.
“The growth of our sport in America cannot be ignored, there are over 50 million F1 fans in the USA, of which 72 percent follow us, and the way the fans have embraced our Team here has been very special to see.
“Oracle Red Bull Racing will be Stateside more than ever in 2023, not just racing but also running Red Bull Showruns and the first F1 Team-led road trip in America, the USA Grand Tauro, later this year.”
What happens when you give a World-renowned artist, Mr Doodle, the RB14 show car as a canvas?
‘The Doodle Bull’ is born.
The Doodle Bull, which is also signed by Verstappen and Pérez, will be auctioned by The Auction Collective, in collaboration with Christie’s, via a timed online auction.
A share of the proceeds will go to the Team’s official charity partner, Wings for Life.
This marks the launch of the Make Your Mark campaign where fans will get to design the livery for the three American races in Miami, Austin and Las Vegas.
Bringing the event to a climactic conclusion, the Team announced that from 2026, Red Bull Powertrains will be entering into a partnership with iconic American motorsport brand Ford.
Red Bull Powertrains, the engine development division of the team, and Ford will work together on the development of the next-gen hybrid power unit that will supply engines to both Oracle Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri from 2026.
Horner continued: “We also wanted to celebrate with, and welcome, Ford in their home country, as they become Red Bull Powertrains’ new partner from 2026.
“This will be a true strategic technical partnership; Ford will assist with battery and hybrid technology and much more to keep the Team ahead of the competition. I am already very excited about the possibilities that this partnership will offer both of us globally.”
