Cumbria Rugby Union Women are raising money for a potential return to Twickenham if they can get past Sussex in the semifinals.
The County women’s team are raising £5,000 for their trip to play Sussex in the semifinal of the Gill Burns County Championship.
If they make it pasted the southern county it would mean a return to Twickenham and the need to raise another £5,000 for the trip to London.
One of the fundraisers Charlotte Bold said: “We face Sussex as our opponents for the semi finals, a very long trip from Cumbria.
“We need roughly £5k for each match and we currently have around £3k so far.”

Charlotte added: “Two years ago we got to the finals and the experience of being in the changing rooms, walking into the pitch and enjoying post match celebrations inside the home of rugby is something I’ll never forget and hope to share again with the current team.”
The women beat Leicestershire 10-22 on Sunday, May 10, at Coalville Rugby Club before comprehensively dispatching Oxfordshire 81-10 at Wigton on Sunday, May 17.
