Community rugby club suffers dugout vandalism

Community rugby union club Workington Zebras were victims of an act of vandalism that has left their dugouts damaged.

The club that has Junior, Men and Women teams discovered that over the weekend the pitch dugouts had been vandalised.

The club spokesperson said: “If anyone has any information or knows of any CCTV that might of caught this criminal behaviour please contact the club directly.

“We are a community club and don’t have funds spare to fix things like this.

“It’s hard enough in the current economy without people making it even harder.”

The Workington club are the latest to suffer damage as Egremont Cricket Club earlier in the year had their covers and club house damaged.
