Cumbria Police conducted a vehicle stop in Maryport and found drugs and money in the car.

On Saturday, 23, following a proactive stop and search of a vehicle, in Maryport, a large quantity of drugs were found.

Also during the search under the drivers seat was over two thousand in cash.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: “This money will now look to be reinvested into other projects tackling drug abuse and community projects in local towns.”
