Renowned Cumbria electrical retailer Peter Tyson is moving its Workington store to a new site after more than 10 years this spring.

The family-owned business, which will be celebrating its 60th anniversary next year, is closing its Finkle Street branch and reopening in a new state of the art premises on the Lillyhall Industrial Estate.

The new showroom will be more than double the size of the current premises, making space for more top brands and products for customers.

Exact dates are still to be confirmed; however, renovations are near completion and Peter Tyson hopes to open the doors at the new store in late April/early May with exciting launch offers and deals to follow.

 The new showroom will sell audio, visual and appliance products from top global brands such as: Samsung, LG, Hisense, Sony, Panasonic, JBL, Shark, Ninja, Miele, Bosch, Hoover, De’Longhi, Smeg, Sage and many more.

The impending move brings to an end 11 years of Tyson’s presence at Finkle Street which opened in 2014 in a building previously used by McCulloughs.

The firm also has stores in Carlisle and Newcastle and employs 72 staff across its three sites.
