League And Cup Action Continues For Lancashire FA Women’s County League Sides

The Lancashire FA Women’s County Leagues continues it’s countdown to its conclusion as teams at the top and bottom of the divisions push toward their final game.

In Division One Lancaster City are on track to claim the league title after a 1-3 win away at Cadley on Sunday April 2.

While the rest of the league starts the cup competition Lancaster City head to Chipping knowing a win moves them to within a point of Whitehaven AFC.

In the cup Kendal Town welcome Sir Tom Finney.

Both games kick off at 2pm (14:00).

In Division One South/East Wigan AFC lost 1-15 Euxton in the top of the table versus bottom of the table clash on April 2 while Bury were beaten 0-1 by Darwen.

Second placed Penwortham Town can close the gap to Euxton with victory at Astley Bridge on April 16 as Darwen host Lostock.

Both matches are a 2pm (14:00) kickoff.

In the Premier Division Accrington Stanley were involved in two matches.

On April 9 they lost 2-10 to the league leaders Fleetwood Town before moving off the bottom with a 2-1 win against Darwen FC on Wednesday April 12.

In the only game in the division Burnley take on Colne with the match kicking off at 2pm (14:00).
