Cumbria’s National Conference Rugby League Sides Fixtures Survive The Cold Weather

The cold snap has played havoc to the National Conference fixtures but Cumbria’s rugby league teams were in action.

In the Premier Division the one league game that was scheduled for March 11 the Hull derby between Hull Dockers and West Hull fell foul of the weather conditions.

It is a full league fixture list in March 18 with Hull Dockers at home to York Acorn, Hunslet face Leigh Miners Rangers and Lock Lane welcome Wath Brow Hornets.

Rochdale Mayfield take on Siddal, Kells travel to Thatto Heath Crusaders and West Hull are on the road to Wigan St Patricks.

In Division One Clock Face Miners 18-12 win over Pilkington Recs and Skirlaugh 12-16 victory at Heworth leave the pair top with two wins from two after the round on March 11.

A big 62-4 victory for Egremont Rangers over Thornhill Trojans lifts them to fourth, Crosfields kept a clean sheet with a 34-0 win at home to Ince Rose Bridge and Featherstone Lions came away with no points as Oulton Raiders ran out 38-0 winners.

Just the four games on March 18 as Skirlaugh host Thornhill Trojans, Stanningley welcome Heworth, Egremont Rangers head to Oulton Raiders and two unbeaten sides meet as West Bowling take on Clock Face Miners.

In Division Two only the one match survived the weather on March 11 and Barrow Island are on the board with a 24-20 win over Wigan St Judes.

There is a midweek game for Wigan St Judes who are back in action on Thursday March 16 when they welcome Waterhead Warriors.

Barrow Island are staying at home on March 18 as they welcome Saddleworth Rangers, Dewsbury Celtic face Shaw Cross Sharks, Milford travel to Myton Warriors, Normanton Knights take on Dewsbury Moor Maroons and Woolston Rovers welcome East Leeds.

Eastmoor Dragons and Drighlington are still waiting to get their season underway after the weather stopped their Division Three game on March 11.

The Cumbrian derbies continued and Ellenborough stay on top with a 40-14 win over Hensingham, Seaton Rangers lost 40-6 to Millom.

Beverley go third with a 32-4 win over Bentley and Leigh East slot into fourth with a close 24-20 victory against Oldham Saint Annes.

Drighlington face Beverley and Eastmoor travel to Hensingham on March 18 as both sides look to start their season.

Millom head to Oldham St Annes and Bentley take on Leigh East.
