The Lancashire FA Women’s County League might have been on a break since the beginning of December but it is set to return with a bang as all the divisions top teams are in action.
In the final round before the winter break on Sunday December 4 Whitehaven AFC put 15 past Kendal Town in the Cumbrian derby.
Lancaster City moved up to fourth with a 2-4 win at St. Annes and Sir Tom Finney moved off the bottom with a 1-0 against Blackpool Town.
There are four fixtures scheduled as the league returns on Sunday January 8.
Leaders Whitehaven kick off with a home tie against St Annes, Kendal Town head to Lancaster City, Blackpool Town host Cadley and Sir Tom Finney play Chipping Ladies.

Division One South/East finished on December 4 with the three joint second place teams remaining together as Euxton recorded a 21-0 win over Clitheroe, Astley Bridge won a close game 3-4 against Bury FC while Penwortham Town picked up a 0-4 win at Lostock St Gerards.
In the lower half of the table AFC Wigan lost 1-2 to Darwen FC.
On December 8 leader Horwich St. Mary’s take on a member of the chasing trio as they welcome Penwortham Town.
Euxton head to AFC Wigan looking to take advantage as Lostock St Gerards host Bury.
All matches are a 2pm (14:00) kickoff.

In the Premier Division the two games on December 4 to finish the league had Accrington Stanley lose a seven goal thriller as Stanwix Juniors won 2-5 and Clitheroe Wolves won 1-0 against Darwen FC.
The league restarts on January 8 with the reverse fixture as Stanwix host Accrington, Langho face Colne, Darwen FC take on Fleetwood Town and Burnley welcome Bury.

The final round in the Championship before the Christmas and New Year break on Sunday December 4 had Blackburn Community Sports Club move 6 points clear of Morecambe Ladies after a 3-1 win.
Blackpool FC beat Bolton County 5-9 and Bolton Wanderers Girls won 7-2 against Penrith AFC Ladies as the pair fight over second place while Fleetwood Town Wrens lost 1-5 against Preston North End.
The top three are in action as the league returns on January 8 as GT7 head to Morecambe as top plays bottom, second play fourth as Blackpool take on Euxton, Bolton County face Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town host Penrith AFC.
