A male has been arrested following an incident on Goldsmith Street, Barrow.
Cumbria Police were called to the incident at 11:02am this morning January 1.
The reported incident involved a teenage male causing criminal damage and a concern for the welfare of the male.
The male was reported as being injured, including suffering cuts to his person during the incident.
A police investigation located a 15-year-old, from Barrow and he was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed article in a public place.
The male was tasered at the scene.
He was taken to Furness General Hospital to enable a medical assessment and attention for his injuries.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
