Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses as part of their investigation into a fatal road traffic collision involving a pedestrian.

Emergency services were called at 4.45pm today, December 13, following a report of a collision between a Citroen van and a pedestrian.

The incident took place at Orton Grange roundabout on the A595.

The pedestrian, a man in his 80s from the Wigton area, was declared dead at the scene.

Cumbria Police are requesting that anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, or anyone who has any information which may assist with the investigation, makes contact.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
