Copeland’s Small Businesses Praised By MP

The high quality of Copeland’s small businesses has been praised by their MP Trudy Harrison.

Taking in some of her constituencies businesses on Small Business Saturday, December 3, the Copeland MP visited a selection of independent retailers; Lowes Court Gallery in Egremont, Boonwood Garden Centre in Gosforth, and Spindle Craft in Drigg.

Mrs Harrison said: “It was a joy spending Small Business Saturday visiting a selection of the many excellent independent shops we have in Copeland, and thanks to Lowes Court, Boonwood and Spindle Craft for such warm welcome.

“We are lucky to have such an array of fantastic small businesses on our doorstep, and I encourage everyone to support them this festive period and beyond.

“I was spoilt for choice in the shops as I did some Christmas shopping myself and even had the chance to meet Santa at Boonwood.”

Mrs Harrison chatted with the managers, staff and volunteers from the small businesses, and had the chance to browse the gifts, crafts, plants and festive goodies on sale.

Small Business Saturday UK is in its tenth year of running and promotes small independent businesses.
