Weather Plays Havoc With North West Women’s Regional Football Leagues

By Robert Haile

Only three games in the North West Women’s Regional Leagues survived as the weather caused mass postponements across the three divisions.

There was meant to be just one match on Sunday October 23 as Wigan Athletic were to take on Salford City but a waterlogged pitch led to the match being postponed.

A full fixture list is organised for Sunday October 30 as Crewe Alexandra host Cheadle Town Stingers, Darwen FC face FC United of Manchester, Salford City play Tranmere Rovers, Curzon Ashton take on Blackburn Community Sports Club, West Didsbury & Chorlton face Fleetwood Town Wrens and Wigan Athletic host Mossley Hill Athletic with all games set for a 2pm (14:00) kickoff.
