PCSO Injured In Carlisle Incident

A Carlisle man has been arrested after an incident on Edgehill Road, Carlisle in which a Police Community Support Officer was injured.

The incident occurred at around 4:32pm on the evening, October 27

It was reported that a man driving an E-bike was in collision with a PCSO who was in the area conducting patrols.

The PCSO suffered cuts and bruises as a result of the incident.

A 20-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of

  • Driving a motor vehicle dangerously
  • Possessing a controlled drug of class B – Cannabis
  • Section 18 – attempted wounding with intent
  • Driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified drug above the specified limit

He has been released under investigation whilst officers continue with their enquiries.
