Record Number Of Viewers Watch Women’s Super League Opener on Sky

After England Women’s successful European Championship viewers tuned into Sky Sports coverage of the Women’s Super League.

A record number of pay-TV viewers tuned in to Sky Sports’ coverage of Liverpool v Chelsea on September 18, peaking at 420,000, a 56 percent increase on last season’s Women’s Super League opener.

After an incredible 171 percent increase in viewing vs the 2020/21 season this marks an impressive growth in the stature of the game.

New to the 2022/23 season, the Sky Sports WSL TikTok account will be giving fans 360° coverage of the league and granting them exclusive access to their new favourite players.
