National Conference League Promotion Finals

All the promotion drama has been quelled with the six teams involved knowing where they will be playing in the National Conference League next season.

Starting in Division Three Seaton Rangers and Bentley lost out in the semi final with Shaw Cross Sharks and Oldham St Annes progressing to the final.

On Saturday September 17 Oldham St Annes took on Shaw Cross Sharks for a place in Division Two.

Shaw Cross Sharks claimed promotion with a 18-30 win, with that done who would the Sharks be facing out of the Division Two final.

Having stopped Barrow Island and Normanton Knights it was either Clock Face Miners or Woolston Rovers who would take the final spot in Division One.

There was only two points in it as Woolston Rovers missed out with a 20-18 defeat to Clock Face Miners.

In Division One Wigan St Patricks and Skirlaugh were set to battle it out after they had dispatched Ince Rose Bridge and West Bowling.

Having missed out on automatic promotion Wigan St Patricks made no mistake with a 32-6 win to join Kells and Hull Dockers.

In the hunt for the Premier Division Grand Final continued.

The last Cumbrian team finished their season as Wath Brow Hornets made the rearranged trip to Thatto Heath Crusaders and lost 28-12.

Siddal continued to advance with a 8-22 win at Thatto Heath Crusaders on Saturday 17.

In the top two semi final West Hull will look to make it a League Leader and Grand Final Winners double after beating Hunslet Club Parkside.

Hunslet Club Parkside will get another chance when they play Siddal on Saturday October 1.
