A trainee Legal Executive at Carlisle law firm Wragg Mark-Bell is one step away from becoming a Fellow in his professional body.
Codie Slessor has passed his Level 6 Legal Research in the CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) qualification and will now progress to being a Graduate member.
It means he has only to complete his portfolio and case study to be fully qualified and become a Fellow of CILEX.
Codie said: “It has been a long, gruelling process but after years of hard work and dedication, I can finally appreciate the hard work is paying off.”
CILEX is the professional association and governing body for more than 21,000 Chartered Legal Executive Lawyers, other legal practitioners and paralegals, and is a route to becoming a qualified lawyer without having a law degree.
Nick Kennon, senior director at Wragg Mark-Bell, said: “Well done to Codie who has had to cope not just with holding down a full-time role while studying but also the disruption caused by the pandemic.
“It reflects Wragg Mark-Bell’s continuing commitment to the development of our talented staff and we look forward to Codie completing his course of study.”
