St Bees School’s unique fusion Maths curriculumencourages students to learn in a different way to most state schools.

The curriculum has beencreated by the experts at Durham University specially for the school and, using the very best aspects for education from the East and the West, students are able to learn Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 skills and knowledge in their first two years at the school as opposed to their peers in other schools.

It is because of this specialist fusion of Eastern education meets Western education that has allowed several students from Year 10 to take their Maths IGCSE examinations a year early, and with great success.

Three international students also gained IGCSEs after studying St Bees School’s unique fast track IGCSE programme.

Headmaster, Robin Silk goes on to say, “Given the disruption caused by the pandemic, we are extremely proud of the commitment to their studies shown by all our students.
