The race for titles and promotion is very close across all three divisions of the Cumbria Cricket League.
It is still close at the top of the Premier Division table leaders Carlisle stayed five points clear with victory away at Furness.
Winning the toss Carlisle put Furness into bat with Saad Khan making 73 as the hosts were bowled out for 148 with Chris Blythe taking 5 wickets for 25 runs.
In reply Marc Brown with 65 and Ben Davidson on 55 not out set Carlisle on their way to 150 and victory.
Second placed Cockermouth took 14 overs to chase down Dalton.
Batting first after winning the toss Dalton were bowled out for 101 with all five Cockermouth bowlers taking wickets.
Openers Sam Sharp and Alex Grainger didn’t hang around reaching 104 with Sharp leading on 62.
Keswick is third place are in a position to pounce if the top two lose siting seven points off top.
Heading to Egremont the home team won the toss and batted first with Coady Scott making 53 as they reached 174.
Stephen Hindmarch’s 78 helped Keswick on their way to 177 as they successfully chased down Egremont’s total.
Wigton finished four runs short of 300 after winning the toss and batting with Matthew Reed making 101 and Lewis Little finishing on 94.
The home sides six bowlers all finished with wickets as they bowled Millom out for 129.
Father and son duo did the damage for Cleator against Workington.
Batting first after winning the toss home side Workington were dismissed for 123 as Ian and Darren Clark took 5 wickets for 60 runs.
Darren then scored 49 as he and James Rogers, 34, helped Cleator recover from 33 for 2 to win.
At the bottom Whitehaven were put into bat where Jonathon Stewart’s 68 and Andrew Cameron’s 40 helped Whitehaven recover from 44 for 6 to finished on 155.
Haverigg’s Jordan Postlethwaite’s 47 could not help as wickets fell regularly as they finished on 95.
It is just as close at the top of Division One as Ulverston stay four points clear after a low scoring win at home to Workington 2nds.
Batting first after winning the toss the home side were bowled out for 79 with Samson Storey making 28 as the Workington bowlers shared the wickets.
In reply Liam Hazard made 45 but couldn’t find a partner to hang around at the other end as Samson Storey, Paul Storey and Stuart Cooper bowled Workington out for 62.
Lindal Moor kept up with Ulverston batting first in their game after winning the toss Lindal Moor set a huge 327 target.
In that innings James Hale made 113 not out with Ryan Gilmour making 81.
Cockermouth 2nds were bowled out for 92 with Edward Waind taking 5 for 0 runs along with Guy Mason taking 4 for 8 runs.
Millom 2nds won the toss and batted first against Seascale making 212 with Luke Ivison reaching 66.
Chasing Seascale reached 213 in 47 overs with Adam Brown scoring 89.
At Hawcoat Park the game went the full 100 overs as Furness 2nds won the toss and batted first.
After their 50 overs Furness 2nds made 230 with Luke Shaw reaching 87 in reply Hawcoat Park fell 28 runs short as Callum Muncaster made 87.
Egremont 2nds won the toss and batted first against Kirkby in Furness making 139 as they were bowled out.
In reply Kirkby reached 143 in 18 overs.
In Division Two it was top versus second as Whitehaven 2nds travelled to Vickerstown.
Batting first after winning the toss Vickerstown were bowled out for 61 with Gareth Benson and Thomas Wright making 20 as Whitehaven’s five bowlers shared the wickets.
Opener Nathan Carmichael’s 40 not out for Whitehaven provided a base as they went on to reached 65.
In a low scoring game Cleator 2nds were bowled out for 62 as three generations of Wishart’s played.
A successful chase for Lindal Moor 2nds had them reach 63 in 25 overs.
Dalton 2nds and Barrow played out to high scoring innings.
Batting first after winning the toss Dalton’s Jacob Rigg made 62 and Mark Hollier 52 as the team reached 185.
For Barrow Simon Chadd, Matthew Holmes and Niall Ahmed all made 44 as they successfully chased down Dalton’s score.
Bottom of the table Ulverston 2nds set hosts Haverigg a big run chase.
Sam Alty retired on 151 as Ulverston made 268 from their 40 overs and in reply Haverigg were restricted to 90 in theirs.
