Cup Shines In Andrea Buggy Women’s League

Cup action is now the focus of the teams in the Andrea Buggy Women’s League.

The final league game between Vickerstown and Penrith AFC Ladies end in a 2-3 win to the visitors.

The first round of fixtures were played in the League Cup on Wednesday July 13.

Cockermouth Highfield Ladies shocked the league champions Newlaithes claiming a 4-2 victory.

Whitehaven AFC bounced back with a 2-1 win at home to Xtreme Fitness Ladies.

Workington Diamonds got their campaign off to a winning start with a 4-2 win against Stanwix Juniors Ladies.

After the extreme heat last week the teams are back in action as Newlaithes take on Whitehaven AFC, Xtreme host Abbeytown and Allerdale play Workington Diamonds.

All three matches are 19:15 (7:15pm) kickoff.
