Barrow Raiders Ladies Double Delight Women’s Super League

Barrow Raiders Ladies made it back to back wins in the Women’s Super League.

Taking on Leigh Miners Rangers Ladies on Sunday June 12 it was the second time in seven days the pair faced each other.

After a dominant and emotional 40-6 victory on home soil on June 5 the Raiders travelled to Leigh Miners Rangers for the return fixture

It was a closer game with the Raiders coming home with the points after a 8-14 win.

The two other games in Group 2 Featherstone Rovers recorded a 54-10 victory over Wakefield Trinity and Bradford Bulls won 52-0 against Castleford Tigers.

In Group 2 of the Women’s Super League Barrow will face Bradford Bulls, Castleford Tigers, Featherstone Rovers, Wakefield Trinty and fellow new team Leigh Miners Rangers.

There are no matches in Group 1 until Thursday June 23 when St Helens face Leeds Rhinos and then Sunday June 26 when Wigan Warriors take on York City Knights.

Like in the Mens Super League the season will end with a playoff involving the top four from each Group with the Group 2 Shield Final to be played as part of a double header with the Group 1 Grand Final.

The winners of the Shield Final will be promoted to Group 1 for 2023 with no team being relegated to Group 2.
