Four Teams Tied At Top Of Andrea Buggy Women’s League

It’s getting crowded at the top of the Andrea Buggy Women’s League as Penrith AFC Ladies and Whitehaven AFC Ladies have been joined by Cockermouth Highfield Ladies and Abbeytown Ladies.

There were only three games on Wednesday, April 27 as Abbeytown Ladies won 4-0 against Stanwix Ladies while Kendal United Ladies lost 0-12 to Cockermouth Highfield Ladies.

There were goals for Captain Claire Blackburn, Hannah Jenns, Chloe McManus and two for Tiffany Lamb as Xtreme Fitness Ladies ran out 5-0 winner against Allerdale Wildcats.

For the second week running Newlaithes Ladies game has been postponed this time against Workington Diamonds as Vickerstown Ladies and Penrith AFC Ladies was also called off.

This Wednesday May 4, hopefully the force will be with the teams, as Abbeytown host Xtreme Fitness, Cockermouth Highfield face Vickerstown, Stanwix play Kendal United while Newlaithes travel to Whitehaven AFC.

Workington Diamonds play Allerdale Wildcats as Penrith AFC have a week off.

All matches are 19:15 (7:15pm) kickoff.
