Local residents are being asked to have their say on proposed improvements for four play areas in Carlisle.
A series of consultations is now underway.
Carlisle City Council is investing £175,000 over the four sites, Briar Bank, Esk Road, Morton West and Yewdale Park, and is asking local residents what play equipment they would like installed within the play areas.
Residents can find out more about the proposals by picking up a consultation leaflet at the Belah Centre (for Briar Bank and Esk Road play areas) and Yewdale Community Centre (for Morton West and Yewdale Park play areas) or at www.carlisle.gov.uk/consultations
Please respond to the consultation before Friday, April 1 2022.
Following the feedback from the consultation, a specification reflecting the preferences will be drawn up.
The City Council has also set aside £40,000 within the play areas improvement budget for parish councils within Carlisle District in the form of small grants.
They will allow parish councils to complete existing planned projects or make essential repairs to their facilities.
An invitation to submit applications will be sent to all parish councils in the district this week.
