Jean-Christophe Novelli might cook up a storm in the kitchen, but his daughter Christina is set to go down a storm on St Bees Radio.
The 33-year-old DJ and songwriter will be performing a special guest set, for the community radio station, tonight (Friday, June 5), at 10pm.
Like her dad, Christina has a special place in her heart for Cumbria and said she’s looking forward to the set – one she was asked to do by her friend, local musician, Lee Shackley.
“I am actually a good friend of Lee’s from St Bees radio,” she explained, “When he asked me to do a guest appearance I was, of course, more than happy to be a part of the show.
“I attended the Whitehaven festival with my dad and must say I had a brilliant time and am a big fan of the area.”
She may only be virtually visiting the area, but Christina is no stranger to performing in Cumbria.
She told The Herdwick: “I’ve played a few times in Cumbria with Lee accompanying me on guitar. We always had a great time.”
Christina is no amateur, not only has she been voted Best Female Trance Artist for the second year in a row, she’s also released an acoustic album this year called ‘Through My Eyes – The Acoustic Sessions – Vol.’.
She went on to say she is exceptionally proud of the album and explained where she draws inspiration for her work.
“I draw inspiration for my writing from all aspects of my life experiences both past and present,” Christina continued.
For those tuning into Christina’s set, this evening, she said listeners can expect a ‘great vocal trance, melodic set’.
And if that’s not enough and you can’t wait to see her live – when COVID is over – Christina said: “I look forward to coming back to Cumbria soon and I hope everyone is staying safe.”
Don’t miss Christina Novelli’s special guest set on St Bees Community Radio, this evening.
