Cumbrian agency Intro PR has been shortlisted in three categories at a prestigious industry awards ceremony.
The public relations firm has been nominated at the Prolific North Marketing Awards 2026, recognising its work for The Cumberland Building Society and Fibrus Broadband.
Intro is a finalist for Best B2C Marketing Campaign (More than 30 employees) for its Community Conversations campaign with The Cumberland, and for both Best Small Budget Campaign and Best PR Campaign for its Fibrus Rage Room campaign with Fibrus Broadband.

The awards recognise the agencies, in-house teams and individuals behind some of the North’s outstanding marketing work.
This year’s finalists include campaigns for Manchester City, Yorkshire Tea, Cineworld and Northern Trains, alongside work tackling issues from smoking and debt to cancer care and violence prevention.
Community Conversations was a region-wide listening programme for The Cumberland, which took drop-in sessions, complete with a now-famous green sofa, to Carlisle, Barrow and Dumfries to ask residents what mattered most to them about banking.
The campaign is shortlisted alongside entries for Trafford Centre, Calderdale College, Rudy’s Pizza and Kellanova.
The groundbreaking Rage Room event saw the Japanese concept brought to Carlisle for the first time, where selected participants could take out their frustration at price hikes from major broadband providers by smashing up pieces of tech in safe surroundings.

Intro, based in Paternoster Row, Carlisle, was founded in 2018 by former Cumbrian Newspapers colleagues Nick Turner and Helen Statham. Other clients now include Stagecoach, TryBooking, Wragg Mark-Bell Solicitors, and The Well Project.
Mr Turner said: “The whole Intro team is honoured and delighted to be shortlisted in three categories, especially as they are for campaigns for two clients we’re so proud to work with.
“They show what Intro is all about: coming up with ideas that are different, fun and engaging with an audience.
“Community Conversations came from The Cumberland’s simple idea of going out and listening to people – what better way to do that than sharing a coffee with them on a sofa and asking what’s on their mind?
“Fibrus has always been brave and creative in how it connects with communities in Cumbria – the Rage Room took that to a new level.”
Winners will be announced at Manchester Hall on Thursday, November 19, when the industry will come together to celebrate the creativity, innovation and impact of Northern marketing.
