West Cumbria Bowls Leagues: Workington extend lead as Harris Park’s is cut

Workington A extend their lead at the top of the Fours League while Harris Park A have theirs cut to two as the Mixed Triples League.

Top of the Workington A have taken a 10 point lead after a 7-0 win against Seaton on Friday, July 17.

Second placed Whitehaven A 5-2 victory over Maryport keeps them six points ahead of Keswick side Fitz Park who won 7-0 at Cockermouth club Harris Park.

Cleator Moor 5-2 win at home to Whitehaven B takes them seven points ahead of Maryport in fifth while Workington B came away with a 5-2 win at Vulcan Park.

Heading into the final five matches of the season Workington A welcome Harris Park on Friday, July 24.

Whitehaven A head to Seaton while Fitz Park host Maryport.

Bottom side Vulcan Park head to Cleator Moor as the B teams meet with Whitehaven hosting Workington.

West Cumbria Mixed Triples League

Harris Park A lead at the top of the table has been cut too two points after defeat in Tuesday, July 14.

The Cockermouth side lost 5-4 at home to second placed Whitehaven A while Workington A moved three points behind with a 5-4 win at home to Wigton.

Egremont have surpassed last seasons total with a 8-1 win against Whitehaven B and have moved up into fourth.

Maryport held onto fifth with a 5-4 win over Cleator Moor taking the overall shot point by a single shot.

A big 9-0 win for Seascale against Vulcan Park A pushed them up into sixth and six points off top.

Harris Park B continued their climb away from the bottom of the table with a 7-2 win at Vulcan Park B.

Workington A trip to Seaton was postponed.

Harris Park A travel to Vulcan Park A on Tuesday, July 21, while Whitehaven A host Seaton and Workington B travel to Egremont.

Maryport make the trip to Harris Park B, Wigton host Croft and Workington A face Whitehaven B while Cleator Moor welcome Vulcan Park B.

The final quarterfinal of the Knockout Cup was played with Workington A booking their place with a 9-0 win over Harris Park B.
