A young Cumbrian bowler has been selected to represent England at the upcoming Under 25 International Series.

Molly Haney of Wigton Bowls Club has been included following the Under 25 assessment day held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, on Sunday, July 5.

The Cumbria Junior Women’s Singles and member of the Women’s Triples champions will face Ireland, Scotland and Wales as part of the England team.

Taking place at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday 13, the two day competition will crown the best Under 25 home nation.

In 2025, England Women delivered a strong campaign, culminating in a final-session win over Scotland to claim overall Gold while the Men clinched the overall Silver.

The women’s squad is captained by Surrey’s Yasmina Hasan, who made her International Debut in Ayr last month.

It includes two new caps with Jorja Jackson (Brampton BC, Huntingdonshire) and Issy Jaszczun (Wellingborough BC, Northamptonshire) selected and a recall for Ella Crouch (Kings BC, Devon).

Kent’s Isaac Jenner, the 2025 Bowls England National Singles Champion, will captain the Men’s squad.

This squad includes four new caps with Samuel Brugnoli (Parkway BC, Huntingdonshire), Louie Hodges (Cheltenham BC, Gloucestershire), Carlos Lali (Shrivenham BC, Berkshire) and Dylan Martin (Garston BC, Hertfordshire) all receiving at call up.

Alongside the upcoming Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, the U18s International series, and the National Finals there is plenty of bowls to inspire a new generation.
