The top of the Fours League changed hands as fixtures were postponed and played while the Knockout Cup semifinalists have been revealed.
Cumbria’s Middleton Cup team were in action in their penultimate game of the season.
West Cumbria Fours League
Whitehaven A reclaimed top spot on Friday, July 3, as they came away from Workington’s Vulcan Park with a 7-0 win as Workington A and Fitz Park were postponed.
Whitehaven B couldn’t make the A team’s result as they lost 7-0 at home to Seaton.
In two very close matches Cleator Moor came away from Workington B with a 4-3 win by 2 shots as Maryport claimed their own 4-3 against Harris Park by a single shot.
On Monday, July 6, Workington A hosted Fitz Park having had to postpone their Friday night meeting.
Workington A reclaimed top spot with a 5-2 win over the Keswick side.
The A and B teams meet on July 10, as Whitehaven and Workington all stay at home.
Fitz Park will be hoping the A teams slip up as they host Vulcan Park while Cleator Moor travel to Maryport and Harris Park make the trip to Seaton.

West Cumbria Mixed Triples League
The prospect of an all Whitehaven Knockout Cup final is alive and kicking after the quarterfinals were played on Tuesday, June 30.
Whitehaven A took on 2025 winners Wigton and were 7-2 winners while Whitehaven B beat Seascale 6-3.
In the all Cockermouth tie Harris Park A lost 7-2 to Croft.
In the other quarterfinal Harris Park B will head to Workington A after the game was postponed with the winner facing Whitehaven A.
Whitehaven B face Croft, who won in 2024 for a place in the final.
Two games were played in the Mixed Triples League as Workington B moved up to second with a 6-3 win over Seaton.
Workington A are up to fifth with a 9-0 win over Egremont who are seventh with Wigton and Croft.
All clubs return league action on Tuesday, July 7, as Harris Park A head to Whitehaven B as second placed Workington B travel to Croft.
Third placed Maryport face a trip to Workington A while Whitehaven A head to Wigton.
After beating Harris Park A last time out sixth placed Cleator Moor head to Harris Park to play their B team.
Egremont host Seaton and bottom side Vulcan Park B welcome Seascale.

Cumbria County Teams
Cumbria’s Middleton Cup team are on the bring of qualifying for the National Finals.
The men’s side travelled to Yorkshire on Saturday, July 4, where the Cumbrians lost 18-4 (115-101).
In the other match leaders Durham were beaten by bottom side Northumberland 18-4 (106-92).
Durham having played all four of their matches sit on 45 points with Cumbria five points behind on 40 and Yorkshire in third are on 37 and Lancashire have 30 points.
Cumbria head to Lancashire on Saturday, July 11, while Yorkshire travel to Northumberland.
In the Men’s Singles competition the semifinals have thrown up an unusual match up with all four players coming from Aspatria Bowls Club.
James Fuge, Stuart Irwin, Mark Irwin and David Pattinson will play each other for a place in the final and a chance to represent Cumbria at the National Finals.
