Cumbria welcomed Durham, Northumberland and Yorkshire to Wigton in the Balcomb Trophy.
In the Walker Cup Cumbria made the trip to Darlington to take on Durham, Northumberland and Yorkshire.
West Cumbria Fours League
Whitehaven A extended their lead to five points on Friday, May 29, as they inflicted a 5-3 defeat on host Workington A.
Keswick side Fitz Park moved up into second with a 7-0 win over fifth placed Workington B as they have their hold on the position cut to two points.
Cleator Moor moved back into the top three with a 5-2 win at home to Harris Park.
Vulcan Park are still stuck to the bottom of the table after a 4-3 defeat at Seaton they are however level on points with Whitehaven B who were beaten 7-0 at home to Maryport.
The games involving the top of the table teams facing each other come thick and fast as Workington A face Cleator Moor on Friday, June 5, as leaders Whitehaven A host Workington B.
Fitz Park welcome Whitehaven B as they look to solidify their place in the top two.
Seaton head to Maryport and they will both be looking to overtake Workington B while Vulcan Park head to Harris Park.

West Cumbria Mixed Triples League
Cockermouth club Harris Park A stormed to the top of the table with a 9-0 win at Seaton on Tuesday, May 26, as Cleator Moor got the better of Wigton with a 7-2 win but Olay by 8 shots.
Workington B jumped up the table to third with a 9-0 win at neighbours Vulcan Park B while Vulcan Park A lost 5-4 at Whitehaven B.
Whitehaven A sit joint fourth with Wigtin and Whitehaven B after a 5-4 win at Maryport.
While their A team sit top Harris Park B are in the bottom three after a 5-4 defeat to Seascale and Croft were also beaten 5-4 by Workington A.
The league takes a break as the Knockout Cup starts on Tuesday, June 2.
Wigton take on Vulcan Park A as their B team host Whitehaven B while their A team take on Maryport.
Harris Park A play Workington B as their A team travel to Cleator Moor and Croft welcome Egremont.

Cumbria County Teams
The regional qualifying round for the Balcomb Trophy came to Wigton Bowls Club on Saturday, May 30, as Durham, Northumberland and Yorkshire looked to book their place at the National Finals.
The round-robin competition had Cumbria play Durham, Yorkshire and then Northumberland.
Cumbria got off to a good start beating Durham 6-2 with Kevin Harrison, Lewis Baxter and Stuart Irwin won the Triples as James Fuge, Paul Wallace, John Baird and Stephen Farish won the Fours.
Northumberland beat Yorkshire 6-2 with Cumbria top on shot difference.
In the second game Cumbria lost 6-2 to Yorkshire with Steven Cook and James Park winning the Pairs.
Durham beat Northumberland 6-2 as all four sides went into the final game level on eight points.

Steven Cook and James Park won the Pairs as Kevin Harrison, Lewis Baxter and Stuart Irwin lost the Triples against Northumberland.
This meant Cumbria needed to win the Fours and hope the shot difference was in their favour.
Stuart Bowman, Paul Wallace, John Baird and Stephen Farish lost as the Cumbria team finished third.
Yorkshire beat Durham 6-2 to book their place at the National Finals.
On Sunday, May 31, the Cumbria Walker Cup team travelled to Hundens Bowls Club, Darlington to play Durham, Northumberland and Yorkshire for a place at the National Finals.
In the round-robin league Cumbria would play Yorkshire, Northumberland and then Durham.
Cumbria didn’t get off to the best of starts losing 6-2 to Yorkshire with L Rose, T Smitham and S Hullock winning the Triples.
Durham beat Northumberland 6-2 leaving Cumbria bottom on shot difference.
Against Northumberland, Cumbria won the Pairs with V Cook and R Forster as the team lost 6-2.
Durham beat Yorkshire 7-1 to sit five points clear at the top.
In their final game of the day against leaders Durham V Cook and R Forster won the Pairs L Rose, T Smitham and A Hullock won the Triples to send the side home with a 6-2 win.
Yorkshire beat Northumberland 6-2 but it wasn’t enough as Durham booked their place at the National Finals.
