A Cumbrian bowler has been selected for the Bowls England squad for upcoming British Bowls events.
Kevin Harrison of Aspatria Bowls Club was announced as one of the invitees to the upcoming International Squad Day on Sunday, June 7.
This will be the fourth year Kevin has been involved with the England team since he won the Men’s Triples with Stuart and Mark Irwin in 2002.

Kevin Harrison said: “It’s great to be called up again and back involved with the England squad.
“This will be my fourth season in the setup, so I’m grateful for the continued opportunity from the team management.
“We’ve had success over the last two years winning the British bowls series, and hopefully we can continue that momentum this season.
“We’ve got a squad day next Sunday before the team is selected for the British bowls series.”
The International Squad Day will see invitees for Men’s, Women’s, Under-18s and Para players attend sessions with teams selected for their respective British Bowls events.
Following the successful Regional Talent ID events which took place at various clubs across the country earlier in May, 32 players have been invited to take part in the National Junior Talent Day.
The National Junior Talent Day on Sunday, July 5.
Plans for the Under-25 International Squad Day on Sunday, July 5, will be announced soon, and will include consideration of players at the White Rose Trophy and Amy Rose Bowl.
Which means Cumbria’s young bowlers could be selected to attend.
This international programme, alongside the upcoming Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, will look to inspire a new generation of bowlers.
Through the Bowls’ Big Summer campaign, clubs will be hosting various open days and sessions and will have several casual bowls sessions available to book on Play-Bowls.com
Clubs can also be contacted directly for availability.
