Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that happened in Bitts Park, Carlisle.

The alleged assault happened near the play park at around 7:50pm on Tuesday, April 28.

During the incident a young female has assaulted a boy who was part of a group causing no injury.

The female was victim of a hate crime before the incident, officers attended and proactively stopped those involved in that incident.

Officers are appealing to identify the female or any witnesses.
