Eden Valley Bowls Leagues: Caldbeck, Temple Sowerby and Wetheral sit top of the leagues

Caldbeck, Temple Sowerby and Wetheral are sitting top of the Eden Valley Leagues after round two.

Wetheral have opened up an early lead in Division One with a 10-0 win at home to Dalston on Tuesday, April 29, as Fitz Park A dropped to fourth with a 4-6 loss to Penrith Friars B.

Caldbeck jump to second with a 0-10 win at Lazonby and Appleby A lost 4-6 to Linton.

Wetheral head to Linton on Tuesday, May 7, as Caldbeck take on Fitz Park A while Dalston take on Appleby A and Penrith Friars B face Lazonby.

All games are a 2:00pm (14:00) start.

In Division Two Temple Sowerby moved into top spot with a 10-0 win over Appleby B Tuesday, April 29, Shap held onto second place after a 6-4 defeat to Penrith Castle Park as Penrith Friars A started their season with an 2-8 loss at home to Skelton.

Fitz Park B return to action on May 6 against Penrith Friars A while the top two face off with Shap hosting Temple Sowerby and Appleby B play Penrith Castle Park.

All games are a 2:00pm (14:00) start.

Caldbeck came away from Temple Sowerby with an 0-8 win on Thursday, May 1, as Fitz Park A kept pace with an 8-0 win over Penrith Castle Park as Appleby also won 8-0 against Skelton.

There were big wins for Penrith Friars and Lazonby who both won 7–1 against Shap and Fitz Park B.

On May 8, Caldbeck host Penrith Friars as Fitz Park A head to Shap while Appleby travel to Lazonby with Fitz Park B welcoming Temple Sowerby and Penrith Castle Park play Skelton.

All games are a 6:30pm (18:30) start.
