A community hub near Brampton has been awarded funding to help with refurbishments in order to help boost income.

The Hallbankgate Hub, which opened in 2016, has been awarded funding £700 funding from the Border, Fellside and North Carlisle Community Panel.

The Hallbankgate Hub has a shop, café and space for community activity.

Now, thanks to funding from the panel, a room has been refurbished so it can be rented out to boost the hub’s income.

The Community Benefit Society running the hub said: “This funding has enabled us to do something we would not have had the resources to do ourselves – and as such, it has made a real difference.

“The application process was straightforward and the support from the Community Panel team was excellent.”
