Hospice at Home West Cumbria have teamed up with Skydive Northwest to offer their supporters an exciting way to support a local charity while also achieving something spectacular.
Hospice at Home West Cumbria hope that this partnership will give their supporters a new, exciting opportunity to tick something off their bucket list, or step out of their comfort zone in memory of a loved one.
Lisa Johnson from Whitehaven recently raised over £1,000 for the local hospice charity by doing a skydive in memory of her Dad.

Lisa said it was “a crazy, scary thing jumping out of a plane, but as scary as this was, it is nothing compared to what loved ones endure when they are faced with the unthinkable fate some are so cruelly given.
“I can’t express how grateful I am to have had Hospice at Home West Cumbria’s guidance and support as they helped us through one of life’s hardest experiences, and I chose to do a skydive as an opportunity to give back.”
Skydive Northwest is one of the longest established skydiving centres in the UK, based in Flookburgh with views across the Lake District, Lake Windermere and Morecambe Bay.
Supporters can reach new heights with their fundraising by experiencing the thrill of free fall from up to 15,000 ft, reaching speeds of up to 120 mph.
