Intoxicated Man Located On Seatoller By Search Dogs

After a busy day and night Cumbria’s Mountain Rescue Team saved an intoxicated man on Seatoller.

Keswick Mountain Rescue received a late night call when a runner found them as the team had arrived back at the vehicles at Seathwaite with a report of a man cold and intoxicated on a path above Seatoller.

The volunteers headed back out with a team of search dogs.

One of the dogs found the man asleep on the path giving the customary bark when finding the casualty which immediately woke him up.

He was helped to an ambulance at Seatoller and the team returned to base at 04:30 after a long night.

All of the Mountain Rescue teams around the county are volunteers and rely on donations from the public.
