Whitehaven Alive is finally here and organisers have confirmed the RAF Red Arrows will be doing a fly over the festival and shuttle buses will now be available for event-goers.
Taking place between September 8 and 10, on Whitehaven Harbour, the festival will feature live entertainment – including performances from Tinie Tempah, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Vaccines and Jake Bugg, among others – an event village with over 70 stalls, a Porsche car display and much more as organisers promise an ‘unforgettable’ weekend.
It was confirmed this week the RAF Red Arrows would be making a fly over the event on Saturday, September 9 at 2.40 pm – taking event-goers back to when the Red Arrows would make a fly over during the Whitehaven Festivals in the past.
Alongside this, transport has been a little easier as now a shuttle bus has been arranged for all three days at the festival from the BEC base at West Lakes Science Park.
Shuttle busses will be operating to and from the fesitval between the following hours this weekend:
- Friday, September 8:
2 pm-6:30pm and
10 pm-11:30pm - Saturday, September 9:
11 am-6:30pm and
10 pm-11:30pm - Sunday, September 10:
10 am-3pm and
5:30 pm-7pm
Thousands are expected to flock to the town for the musical festival, so we also have a round-up of everything you need to know from the entry times and parking to the weekend’s weather, which you can find HERE.
