The National Conference Rugby League Takes Shape As Gaps Appear

The National Conference Leagues are shaping up as sides battle for places.

The last unbeaten Premier Division side lost on Saturday May 13 as Rochdale Mayfield beat leaders Hunslet ARLFC 10-6.

Wath Brow Hornets closed the gap in second with a 6-60 win at Wigan St Patricks as West Hull beat Kells 38-16.

Thatto Heath Crusaders 10-16 victory over Lock Lane moved them into fifth as York Acorn won 42-18 to move into the playoff places.

While Siddal’s 36-12 win at home to Hull Dockers put them two points outside the relegation places.

The top two face off as Wath Brow Hornets welcome league leaders Hunslet ARLFC on Saturday May 20.

Wigan St Patricks take on Thatto Heath Crusaders and York Acorn will to continue to climb the table when they play Siddal.

Kells travel to Hull Dockers, Leigh Miners Rangers host Rochdale Mayfield and Lock Lane face West Hull.

The top three have some breathing room in Division One as West Bowling sit top with a 33-10 win over Thornhill Trojans, Oulton Raiders 28-10 win against Crosfields keeps them second and Skirlaugh are third after a 16-18 win at Clock Face Miners.

Heworth lead the chasing pack with a 40-12 victory against Pilkington Recs, Egremont Rangers left Featherstone Lions with a 26-48 win and Stanningley’s 52-10 win at home to Ince Rose Bridge means they joined the group in fourth.

On May 20 Crosfields welcome Stanningley, it could be another tough day for Featherstone Lions as they host fourth placed Heworth and second placed Oulton Raiders take on Clock Face Miners.

Leaders West Bowling travel to Pilkington Recs and Egremont Rangers are back at home to face Skirlaugh and the Epic Entertainment continues with Paul Shepherd.

The top of Division Two is inseparable as Waterhead Warriors stay top with a 58-24 win at home to Dewsbury Celtic as Dewsbury Moor Maroons win 6-46 at Saddleworth Rangers while Woolston Rovers came away from Normanton Knights with a 16-50 win.

Six points back are Wigan St Judes after a 25-34 win at Myton Warriors and Barrow Island’ close 22-23 win keeps them within touch distance of the top three.

There is a top of the table clash as Woolston Rovers host Waterhead Warriors and Dewsbury Moor Maroons take on Myton Warriors.

East Leeds face Saddleworth Rangers, Normanton Knights travel to Dewsbury Celtic and Barrow Island welcome Shaw Cross Sharks.

In Division Three Oldham St Annes stay top with a 12-42 win at Hensingham while Leigh East in second came away from Seaton Rangers with a 6-68 victory.

Ellenborough are third after a 36-10 win at home to Drighlington as Millom kept pace with a 18-34 victory at Bentley and Beverley lost 24-14 at Eastmoor Dragons.

Top versus bottom as Oldham St Annes take on Seaton Rangers, second placed Leigh East head to Drighlington, Ellenborough host Beverley and Millom take on Hensingham.

Bentley and Eastmoor Dragons play on Sunday May 21.
