Cumberland Council is seeking out traders for the upcoming Solway Coast Cycling Festival.
Local traders are being given the opportunity to take part in this year’s Solway Coast Cycling Festival, to be held in Silloth on Sunday 4 June, between 10am and 5pm.
As part of this year’s event, Cumberland Council is holding a producers’ market and is looking for traders to take part for free (although a fee will be charged if traders require power, tables or chairs).
Cumberland Cllr Anne Quilter, Portfolio holder for Vibrant and Healthy Places said: “Our free family event showcases the amazing cycling routes around Silloth including the Hadrian’s Wall route.
“For the first time, we will have a town centre cycling race along with a producers’ market. If you are local trader, sign up and take part.”
This is the third time the Solway Coast Cycling Festival has taken place in Silloth, having previously been held in 2021 and 2022.
In addition to the producers’ market, there will also be a new town centre cycle race, The Cumberland Cobbler.
Organised by Carlisle Cycling Association with support from British Cycling, it will include four races for various ages and categories.
The deadline to sign up is Monday 22 May. Apply online HERE.
The Solway Coast Cycling Festival will also include a Festival Village that will include kids cycling skills, fairground rides, a stunt bike show and smoothie bikes. All activities are free.
Traders can apply for a free stall online HERE.
