Onlso, the 8ft gorilla and Marion’s pet shop have raised over £400 in donations for Crab Fair and World Gurning Championships 2023.

The enormous friendly gorilla statue made an appearance at Marion’s, in Egremont, on Saturday, April 29, while on his tour.

People were encouraged to take a picture with the 8ft gentle giant and post it on social media, along with giving a minimum donation of £1.

Hundreds came out to see Onslo as he posed with people and pets on Egremont Main Street. It was confirmed today, Tuesday, May 2, £420 was raised for this year’s Crab Fair.

Egremont Crab Fair and World Gurning Championships return this year on September, Friday 15 and Saturday 16, after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic.
