North West Women’s Regional Football League Heads Into Final Month

The run in for the North West Women’s Regional Football Leagues continues to shape up to a nail biting finale at both ends of the tables as sides look to build momentum or halt slides in form.

The top two of the Premier Division were in action on March 26 as Salford City picked up a 0-2 win over West Didsbury while FC United hit 13 against Darwen.

Just the one game on April 2 as Blackburn look to over take West Didsbury as the pair meet.

The match is set to kickoff at 2pm (14:00).

In Division One North Preston North End picked up two big wins to move up to fourth.

On March 23 Preston beat Penwortham 8-1 and then on March 26 they beat Chorley 6-1 as Accrington stayed four point ahead in third with a 2-3 victory over Penwortham.

Haslingden extended their lead with a 5-1 win at home to Carlisle United while Morecambe Ladies also picked up a 5-1 victory against Workington Reds in the Mazuma Stadium.

Haslingden can stretch their lead at the top further when they face Penwortham on April 2.

Accrington head to Carlisle United while Preston North End face Workington in the battle for third as Chorley welcome Bolton Wanderers.

All fixtures are a 2pm (14:00) kickoff.

In Division One South a full fixture list was played on March 26 as Bury won 0-2 at Altrincham to stay three points clear of Runcorn as they beat Warrington Wolves 4-2 to keep five points ahead of Poulton who won 2-1 at home to Northwich.

Chester recorded an 8-1 win at home to Wythenshawe as Hindley moved two points from Alder in ninth after beating them 2-3.

On April 2 Hindley face Alder again and a repeat result will move them off the bottom of the table.

If Runcorn win at Warrington and Poulton Vic beat Bury they will move joint top of the table.

Norwich Vixens face Chester.
