Cumbria’s Rugby Union Sides Finish Off Season And Start Cup Competition

League champions have been decided and now the cup rugby begins for Cumbria’s rugby union sides.

The North West Division finished and the end of season cup competition begins.

On Saturday April 1 Kendal take on Wirral in the Regional 1 Plate pool 2 game.

The final games of Regional 2 North continue with Percy Park recording a 69-14 win over Consett.

The final game of the season on April 1 Consett welcome Keswick as Durham City and Penrith is postponed.

Penrith are in action on April 1 as they head to Bowden in a Region 2 Championship Pool match.

Conference 1 came to an end for four teams on March 25 as Cockermouth finished Whitehaven’s season with a 19-0 defeat and Upper Eden secured the title with a 26-59 win at Millom.

Wigton hosted Egremont in the pairs final game with the home team winning 29-19.

Champions Upper Eden face second placed Cockermouth in the final league game of the season on April 1.

In Conference 2 Penrith II beat Silloth 28-5 on Friday March 24 to finish their season.

Creighton beat Hawcoat Park 20-5 meaning Penrith topped the table and Hawcoat finished second, while St Benedicts were awarded the win against Workington as the pair finished the season on Saturday March 25.

Creighton face Silloth in their final league game on April 1.
