Cumbria Police is appealing for witnesses as they investigate a collision in South Cumbria.

Police are investigating a collision on the A5084, near Blawith, that only happened at 9am today, March 30, and involved a silver Ford Puma.

The driver, a man in his fifties, was taken to Furness General Hospital, where he was described as being in a serious collision.

Officers are asking for any witnesses or any drivers who may have dashcam footage that could have captured the vehicle before the collision to come forward.
