Top Of The Table Clashes And Plenty Of Big Games For Cumbria’s Rugby Union Sides

New leaders, a possible season defining clash and plenty of intriguing ties for all the Cumbrian rugby union sides.

In North West Division Lymm have taken top spot after a 29-14 over Sandbach on Saturday February 4.

Rossendale moved up to third with a 29-35 win against Macclesfield, Manchester lost 28-31 to Northwich and Kirkby Lonsdale were beaten 17-42 by Stockport.

Full fixture list on February 11 as new leaders Lymm host Wirral, Blackburn travel to third placed Rossendale, Stockport face Sandbach and Northwich take on Burnage.

The Cumbrian sides are on the road as Manchester welcome Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale head to Macclesfield.

Regional 2 North is set ready for February 11 after previous weeks fixtures.

Penrith stay on top with a 43-35 win over Percy Park as Morpeth stay on their heels with a 47-10 home win against Consett, while Northern beat Aspatria 10-26 to keep the pressure on the pair.

Bottom of the table Carlisle missed out at home to Stockton with a 29-37 defeat, Durham City recorded a 71-0 win over South Shields Westoe as Keswick’s 12-10 win at home to Middlesbrough moved them above South Sheilds.

All eyes will be on Penrith’s home game with Morpeth on February 11 as the winner will be favourites for the league title.

Aspatria host Consett, Keswick face South Shields Westoe, Carlisle travel to Northern, Percy Park face Stockton and Middlesbrough take on Durham City.

Cockermouth closed in to ten points behind Upper Eden after being awarded an away win against Whitehaven on February 4 in Conference 1.

Second versus third when Cockermouth host Egremont on February 11, Upper Eden head to fourth placed Wigton and Whitehaven travel to Millom.

In the only fixture in the Conference 2 Hawcoat Park beat Penrith 22-12 on February 4 to move to the top of the table.

All six sides are in action on February 11 with Hawcoat Park hosting Silloth, St Benedicts take on Penrith II and Workington face Creighton.
