Cumberland FA Make The Draw For The Women’s County Cup

The draw for the Women’s County Cup has been made.

The draw took place on January 16 and produced three quarter final ties with one team receiving a bye into the semifinals.

With an odd number of team entering this seasons competition they are three quarter finals.

The three North West Regional sides all avoided each other with the 2018-19 winners, Workington Reds, being drawn against the Lancashire League’s Penrith AFC development.

It is a repeat of the semifinal from last year and an all Lancashire league tie as Whitehaven AFC face last the runners up, Stanwix Juniors.

Carlisle United have not lifted the trophy since the 2017-18 competition start with a trip to Abbeytown.

The 2021-22 winners Penrith AFC Ladies were the last number out and received a bye into the semifinals.

All three matches are to take place on Sunday February 19.

  • Whitehaven AFC Ladies v Stanwix Juniors Ladies – County Ground 1:15pm (13:15)
  • Abbeytown Ladies v Carlisle United Ladies – Barton Laws 10:30am
