Copeland MP Trudy Harrison has launched a series of gatherings for members of the constituency’s farming community.
Mrs Harrison, a DEFEA Minister, will hold four evening events across the constituency, in which she will share information and updates from the sector.
The gatherings will also give the opportunity for farmers to share ideas and suggestions with Mrs Harrison and one another.
Mrs Harrison said: “I am very much looking forward to these events, which will give me a chance to share updates with our farming community, and to listen to what they have to say.
“Farming is the backbone of so many of our communities and there is no industry like farming for the level of passion, experience and knowledge that exists that has, in many cases, been passed down through generations.”
All begin at 7.30pm and include a pie and pea supper.
The gatherings will be held on the following dates:
- Friday, January 27 in Lamplugh
- Friday, February 10 in Bootle
- Friday, February 24 in Keswick
- Friday, March 10 in Gosforth
Those who would like to attend are asked to RSVP to trudy.harrison.mp@parliament.uk or 01229 718333, indicating which event they would like to attend.
